What kind of applications can TMXtp test?
The rule of thumb is: ?Anything TestPartner can test?TMXtp can test?. There are instances, however, where the use of TMXtp can actually improve and make testing complicated 3rd party controls, tables and frames easier with TMXtp than just by TestPartner alone.
Can TMXtp work with TestPartner 6.0?
Yes! The current release of TMXtp is designed with TestPartner 6.0 in mind. It is also fully ?backward compatible? with earlier versions of TestPartner.
What is the ratio of TMXtp to TestPartner licenses?
Depending on the project and the complexity of the application under test, typical installs show ratios of 1:5 to 1:10 TMXtp licenses for each TestPartner license. There are some groups that actually approach higher ratios depending on the experience of the automation engineer and where the project is in terms of maturity. Typically the newer the project the lower the ratio.
Can TMXtp handle manual tests?
Yes! With interfaces to TestPartner as well as QADirector you can create and manage automated and manual test efforts with one tool.
What reporting is available with TMXtp?
TMXtp relies on the underlying tools for the reporting. With Compuware?s QAC tool suite, you have access to state of the art reporting tools quickly and efficiently.
How is TMXtp licensed?
The TMXtp license is a concurrent instance which means you can share the license among your work group or project, making it a very economical approach to testing.
Does TMX interface with QAD?
Yes! TMXtp interfaces with TestPartner as well as QADirector.
